Overview:
By assessing the risks associated with slip, trip and fall hazards within their immediate working environment, the user is able to highlight potential health and safety issues before they result in injury or ill-health. The use of a properly constructed risk assessment means that there is no danger of missing potential hazards, and such hazards are presented to the manager or health and safety representative in a clear and objective way.
What does this mean to the learner’s company?
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 place significant responsibilities upon employers for the health and safety of their staff in respect of slip, trip and fall risks. This risk assessment will enable the organisation to identify and deal with relevant health and safety risks at an early stage, and so aid compliance with this legislation.
