Overview:

The material for the Fire Safety course has been awarded the Certificate of Quality and Merit of the Royal Institute of Public Health.

Learn:

Module 1 - Basic fire knowledge:

The fire triangle, consequences of fire, fire resistance, fire doors and exits, action in the event of a fire alarm and a fire.

Module 2 - Basic fire knowledge Plus:

Fire extinguishers and how to use them, classes of fire, fire resisting construction, case studies and law.

Module 3 - Night porter/Personnel:

Final check of premises and walk rounds, action in the event of fire and alarm.

Module 4 - Fire marshal:

Duties, action in event of a fire.

Objectives:

Fire Safety teaches students about the basics of fire safety in the workplace.

On sucessfully passing the assessment, a certificate can be printed to show that the required standard of knowledge of fire safety awareness has been reached.

In addition, once the learner has completed the course and passed the assessment they will be able to download a full set of course notes. These notes will prove invaluable for future reference and knowledge refreshment. They can be stored on a computer or printed out – whichever is more convenient.
