Overview:

One of the most important and underestimated stages of project management is that of closure. A project may have been perfectly initiated, planned and implemented, but without correct closure, all the hard work will be for nothing.

During administrative closure, you need to document the project lessons and results at the close so you can bring that with you to the next project.

Contract closure needs to be carried out before you pay the contractor. You need to be sure that the contractor has done what you wanted and that everyone is happy with it.
